Bathtub Babies

Pun's parents house doesn't have a bathtub so Helen and Daniel have really missed taking baths. I don't know why it took us so long to figure out that we could buy a basin for them to take baths in, but now we have one and the big event every night is bath time. So here's a cute picture of our evening ritual for you.

So how did you usually bathe the kids? Do you just have showers? I see that you do have toilets with toiliet seats! Remember the Brazil toilets?

Evely still has yet to experience the bathtub and she is almost 2 1/2. She still bathes in the kitchen sink. We have a pretty deep sink and she loves it.

We just didn't wash them before now. Nahh, just kidding. We showered them. They have done pretty well with it, actually, and it sure goes a lot faster than a bath. No lollygaggig' around! But they love to have bath time and play. We never did the sink thing. So they have been taking baths since 4 months or so.

Can't remember the Brazilian toilets..is that awful or what? Yes, we have toilet seats and I am thankful. Some places in pubic and older homes don't have western toilets. They have what my friend calls squatty potties. You just squat down over them and go, then wash off with water in a big basin beside it. Maybe someday I will post a picture.

The Brazilian toilets had no seats. The boys dorm had a seat and we traded them something valuable for the toilet seat. I can't remember what it was we traded them.

I've heard of those squatty potty things. . .eeeeek. I don't think I could ever get used to that one.
